So I started a slow 5K process with my coach back in 2022. My first 5K was Santa To The Sea in Oxnard, CA. Crappy rainy cold conditions. But I made it! Since then I have done several including Run Malibu and the Great Race in Agoura. I like the smaller more community style ones like Moorpark and Santa Clarita. For 2024 so far I have Westlake Village, Elysian Park and Santa Clarita lined up respectively for March, June and July. Believe me when I say that if I can train for and do a 5K, you can as well. Get a good coach and support and love!
