Well hello again!  I have fallen a bit short of my intention to do weekly blogging for my website but I’m back, baby!   So let’s talk biz first.   I’m teaming up with Conqueroo on some really great stuff with street dates in late summer/early fall.  Let’s give you a bit of early info on them.   Firstly, we have John Brodeur doing some great indie pop with Jason Falkner under the moniker of Bird Streets — check them out here.   In September we have a gorgeous sounding female trio from Austin who sort of feel like an Americana modern version of The Bangles.  They are called Nobody’s Girl (Rebecca Loebe, Bettysoo and Grace Pettis) and their web home is here.  Of course my wonderful yoga teacher Darby Orr who is a musician knows Rebecca.  Small world.  Also in September we have the lovely chanteuse from Nashville, Mandy Barnett and you can view her site here.

Sooner than that will be Memorial Day Weekend fun at the Simi Cajun Blues Festival featuring Eddie Money, The Chambers Brothers, Dave Mason and other great musicians.

Had fun meeting Chris Barron — finally– when the Spin Doctors had a private out here last month.  He should be out West in the fall and continues to do solo and Doctors dates.  He’s not to be missed!

TV wise I am watching RuPaul’s Drag Race — don’t miss Joey Guerra’s recaps at the Houston Chronicle here . On Showtime it’s Billions and Patrick Melrose.  Guilty pleasures on FOX are Empire (yes I know how can I still be watching?) and Star.  The recorder is also set for CBS sitcom Mom.

Weather is just a dream in LA today – this is why people move here – but get ready because summer is coming!
